Barring any hitch in plans, former Kano Pillars’ attacking winger, Ahmed Musa, should leave the shores of Nigeria to join up with Dutch club, VVV-Venlo.
Ibrahim Ahmed, proprietor of Aminchi Football Academy, which owns 100 per cent of Musa’s rights, told SuperSport.com that the 18-year-old should leave for The Netherlands on Saturday.
“Ahmed will leave on Saturday. We are sure that he will leave this Saturday,” Ahmed disclosed.
Asked if his departure for Venlo is the reason he has not joined up with Nigeria’s under20s for this weekend’s second leg of the African Youth Championship (AYC) against Mauritius, Ahmed answered in the affirmative.
“Yes, he cannot join the camp because of this,” the Aminchi Football Academy owner said. “But we regret that because he is ready to represent Nigeria whenever the opportunity comes.”
