An official of Dutch Eredivisie side, VVV-Venlo, has disclosed that the club are expecting Nigeria international, Ahmed Musa, to join up with his new teammates in a week.
SuperSport.com’s follow-up to Thursday’s report that the teenage attacking winger will sign for VVV-Venlo reveals that if he signs a contract with the Dutch club next week, he will be handed a first team place.
Ellen Berden of the club’s Press and Communications department disclosed to SuperSport.com on Thursday via e-mail that details of the player’s contract cannot be divulged until he arrives in Venlo.
“VVV-Venlo is waiting for Ahmed Musa. Until he has not arrived we cannot say anything about contract.
“We expect him to come in one week but nothing has been confirmed. If, I repeat if, he signs a contract he will be part of the first team immediately,” Berden wrote.
On Thursday, Musa’s minder, Ibrahim Ahmed, said the player’s agent that brokered the deal confirmed that the former Kano Pillars’ man will travel next week but the actual day is still unknown.
But Ahmed also raised concerns about the issuance of an International Transfer Certificate (ITC) for the 18-year-old, which will clear him to play immediately for VVV-Venlo.
It is believed that Musa’s representative had agreed a three-year deal for the youngster.
