Kwara United suspend sextet

Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, Kwara United, have wielded the big stick by freezing out six of their players indefinitely from taking part in the club’s activities.
According to a statement from the club’s director of media and communication, Ajide Olayioye, the axed players are Monday Osagie, Kelvin Kpakpor, Gani Anifowose, Akeem Olayinka, Mustapha Saliu and Chinedu Ajanah.
The six players are said to have flouted camp rules by “absconding from training for days without permission” leading to the management of the club placing them on indefinite suspension without salary.
The management of Kwara United through the statement also frowned at the technical report on the dedication of the players on the payroll of the club this season.
The Kwara United image-maker added that the move is to ensure that camp rules are strictly followed since the season is still ongoing.
The statement also cleared the air on Kwara United’s financial position saying that are not facing any hiccup in the current campaign.
“There is no financial crisis in the club and those who are claiming such are mere agents of distraction,” claimed the Premier League club.
