The battle for the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) continues on the World of Champions this Saturday with the Week 16 game between Sharks and Kaduna United live on SuperSport Nine from 4.50pm CAT.
Depending on matches elsewhere, the winner will ascend into the top five in the log.
All eyes will definitely be on Sharks’ striker, Victor Ezeji (pictured), in this game, as the home side looks to pick their seventh win of the season on live on SuperSport. Ezeji will be aiming to increase his six goals tally that he has already scored in this campaign for Sharks.
Kaduna United goes into the tie without the duo of Sani Aruwa and Siman Yusuf. But assistant coach Abdullahi Heyman, is confident that playing before the cameras of SuperSport will only serve as motivation for his men even without the two key players.
“No doubt, Sani (Aruwa) and Siman (Yusuf) are two of our important players that we will miss. But I can assure you that we will do well without them especially when you consider that we have always done well when we play before live television.” declared Heyman.
Sharks in their 38 years of existence have never won the Nigerian topflight, just as the ten-year old Kaduna United.
