3SC hook six for NPL restart

Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, 3SC, have registered six players ahead of the resumption of the topflight in the country after close to a month of recess.
Spokesman of the club, Jubril Arowolo, confirmed that the club have decided to reinforce their team with five outfield players and a goalkeeper.
The players registered for the restart of the Premier League by head coach, Fatai Amoo, are Lekan Gabriel and Timothy Idogbe, both strikers as well as Sunday Adeyemi from Enugu Rangers and goalkeeper Emmanuel David.
Arowolo explained the duo of Gabriel and Idogbe is owned by the Ibadan-based club.
He said striker Idogbe was not registered for the start of this season’s campaign due to an eye operation he had to undergo last year.
Adeyemi, a striker from rival club, Enugu Rangers, has been 3SC since the start of the season but was not registered for first team football.
“We have registered six players ahead of the beginning of the second stanza of the league. The players are Lekan Gabriel and Timothy Idogbe. The two are our players but we didn’t register them for certain reasons. In the case of Idogbe he was not registered because he had to undergo an operation for an eye injury.
“We also have Sunday Adeyemi from Rangers and a goalkeeper from Kaduna United. Then we have two additional players. I will confirm their names to you when I get them,” Arowolo said.
Already, the club management had offloaded six players about four weeks ago.
But the 3SC spokesman said he will not want to disclose the names of the players since the club decided to ease them out quietly.
