Suspended head coach of Bukola Babes, Festus Allen (pictured), has formally parted ways with the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) newcomers.
SuperSport.com learned that Allen resigned his appointment on Thursday in Ilorin in the aftermath of his suspension.
The 48-year-old coach confirmed his resignation as manager of the Premier League side to SuperSport.com on Friday morning via telephone.
Allen, a former assistant coach with Ranch Bees, has accepted to join National Division One League side, COD United, as technical consultant till the end of the season.
"I resigned yesterday (Thursday)," Allen revealed through telephone. "I'm still in Ilorin at the moment. But I'd be in Lagos soon because I have accepted to join COD United till the end of the season."
Allen's resignation puts to rest speculation that the coach will be booted out of Bukola Babes at the end of this Premier League after he was placed on an indefinite suspension.
