Jos clubs suffer defeats

Juth and Plateau United (pictured) continued their inconsistent run in this season's Nigeria Premier League (NPL) when the Jos-based clubs lost their games on Saturday.

Both clubs surrendered all points to their Week 29 opponents on the death of their games.

At the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, Plateau United played host to Enugu Rangers in a game that they had been tipped to win.

Plateau United and Rangers played out a goalless first half before Steven Adah's 82 minute strike sealed a win for the away team.

The win means Rangers complete the double over Plateau United this season after winning the reverse game 1-0 on January 2.

It is the third road win for the Flying Antelopes.

Rangers now occupy fifth spot on the log with 46 points till Sunday when Matchday 29 games are completed while Plateau United remain third from bottom.

Juth also playing simultaneously at Kano Pillars looked like leaving with a point until Shagari Mohammed popped up to score the winner six minutes into added time.

Kano Pillars also do a double on Juth after winning the reverse tie by 2-1 in Jos.

Ladan Bosso's men move into third place with 50 points pending the outcome of the game between Zamfara United and Warri Wolves in Gusau on Sunday.

The Healers, as Juth are called, remain at the foot of the table with 22 points.
