Kano Pillars' head coach, Ladan Bosso has restated that his side will challenge for the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) title till the last match day.
Bosso's confidence stems from his side's 4-0 bashing of Renaissance FC of Chad last Saturday at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
The impressive Rabiu Ali helped himself with a double strike while Buhari Musa and John Huan got a goal each.
"We are in the title race, and I am confident we will be challenging for it till the very last day of the season," Bosso told SuperSport.com.
The 45-year-old coach explained that the friendly match against Chadian champions, Renaissance FC is part of his side's build-up to their last four games for the 2010/2011 season.
"The friendly is just a way to keep our players in their best of shape. The team has been training but match situations you know are different from training sessions. So that's why we decided to play this friendly," the former Wikki Tourists manager said.
Kano Pillars are scheduled to face Ocean Boys, Niger Tornadoes, Sunshine Stars and Warri Wolves in their last four games of the season.
Bosso's men are fourth in the league standing with 59 points behind Sunshine Stars, Dolphins and Warri Wolves in that order.
