Warri Wolves query defender

Warri Wolves have demanded answers from their defender, Chimezie Mbah, for truancy, Naijaligue.blogspot.com understands.

Mbah, 18, has been issued a written query by his employers for failing to turn up at the team's camp, as they prepare for their last four games in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).

The right-back since returning with the Nigerian men's national team from the Fifa Under20 World Cup in Colombia has stayed away from the camp of Warri Wolves.

It has been learnt that Mbah spent just two days since returning with the Flying Eagles from Colombia.

The player did not travel with Warri Wolves to Ghana for the international friendly against Ashanti Kotoko recently.

Mbah was said to have explained that he was suffering from typhoid fever and opted to be treated in Lagos rather than the team doctor examine him.

Warri Wolves manager, Paul Aigbogun is also miffed with the player's truancy.

Naijaligue.blogspot.com has also been told by the club's spokesman, Timi Ebikagboro that Mbah faces being suspended for his behaviour.

Warri Wolves are currently in third position in the NPL table with 59 points behind Sunshine Stars and Dolphins in first and second positions respectively.
