Isaac, Azuka in talks with Sunshine

Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, Sunshine Stars have opened discussions with the duo of Heile Isaac and Izu Azuka.

Isaac is a Cameroonian defender, who featured for Kano Pillars in the 2010/2011 NPL season while Azuka is set to leave Libya's Al-Ittihad Tripoli.

Sunshine Stars' general manager, Mike Idoko confirmed the development to SuperSport.com on Monday afternoon.

The move for Isaac could happen before the start of the season with the help of the presence of another Cameroonian, Medrano Tamen, in the Sunshine Stars' setup.

On the other hand, Azuka, 22, is keen to join up with the NPL runners-up after his deal at Al-Ittihad Tripoli ran out.

Idoko, however, said no deal is in place for the duo as talks are still ongoing.

"Yes we are still discussing with Heile Isaac who is ready to join us as we have another Cameroonian here. We are also talking to (Izu) Azuka whose contract with Al-Ittihad has expired. But nothing has been concluded yet for both players," he disclosed to SuperSport.com.

Idoko said Sunshine Stars' early move to bring in new players in the off-season is to bolster their squad for the 2012 Caf Champions League and NPL season.
