Adegbite bullish for Aba clash

Rasaq Adegbite is hopeful that he will leave his mark in Sunday's big game between Enyimba and Enugu Rangers in Aba.

Adegbite, who crossed from Rangers to Enyimba in the mid-season transfer window, said he wants to score and help his team win.

He also acknowledged that Rangers will be tough and know what he is "capable of."

"This is football. As a player, you move from one club to another and somewhere along the line you have to face your former club.

"I am now an Enyimba player and this is where I want to be. My aim as a striker is to score lots of goals to help my club win matches. Whether it's Rangers or any other team we come up against, my aim remains the same.

"Right now, they are on top of the table so if we want to get above them, we have to beat them on Sunday. It's going to be a very tough match because they are in a good form at the moment, but I'm confident we can come out victorious.

"I believe they (Rangers) know what I'm capable of. I don't need to try to prove it again on Sunday. I will just go out there and do my best for my new club," Adegbite told the official website of Enyimba.

Adegbite made his debut for the People's Elephants last weekend when they beat Kaduna United 2-0.

Enyimba trail Rangers by three points in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) standings.

The match between Enyimba and Enugu Rangers is live on SuperSport Select from 4pm Nigerian time (5pm CAT).
