Kwara United management has suspended its team's head coach, Tunde Sanni following their elimination from the 2012 Federation Cup.
The Afonja Warriors suffered a second defeat when they lost 1-2 to Nigeria Premier League (NPL) rivals, Kano Pillars at the Agege Stadium on Wednesday.
Kwara United had earlier lost 0-1 to El-Kanemi Warriors on the opening day.
SuperSport.com was informed that the club's management took the decision immediately after the loss to Pillars.
"Yes coach Tunde Sanni has been suspended by the club board after the loss to Kano Pillars. It means Kwara United won't be able to progress in the Federation Cup," said Kwara United spokesman, Ajide Olaeoye.
In the absence of the suspended Sanni, Alli Zubair will take charge of Kwara United's game against Crown FC on Friday in an interim capacity.
"Sanni will be replace by his assistant for the rest of the season," said Olaeoye to SuperSport.com.
Zubair will also stay as caretaker coach for Kwara United's remaining Premier League games.
