Gwar makes debut in The Predictor's XI

Last season's leading scorer in the top flight, Sibi Gwar (pictured), finds his way into my team for Matchday 11 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

He was always the first option after netting a treble against a highly-rated team like Kano Pillars in Aba at the weekend.

If Gwar's hat-trick performance earned him his first place in my matchday team, his club, Enyimba got more mentions than others after that flawless outing on Sunday in which they won 3-0 against an out-of-sorts Kano Pillars.

Bala Mohammed played as a right-back rather than his central midfield role but still impressed.

Midfielders Abdulrasak Aliyu, Nzube Anaezemba and Nonso Okonkwo are the other Enyimba men I've picked after their marauding performance saw off the champions last weekend.

3SC's Laide Okanlawon is definitely my number one choice in goal. He was top notch against Sharks in that 0-0 draw in Port Harcourt.

Only ABS custodian, David Walbe, with his matchday antics and performance against Sunshine Stars came close to knocking off the position.

Bala is joined in a three-man defence by 3SC duo of Francis Edem and Samuel Olabisi. Both men fought like Trojans to help 3SC claim their first point on the road this term.

In my 3-5-2 formation, I've brought the duo of Dare Ojo and Ismaila Suleiman into the midfield for their energetic style of play.

Ojo and Suleiman have kept knocking at the door of my matchday team for a while and this time deservedly played themselves into the side.

Upfront, I prefer the powerplay of Nembe City's Samuel Akinbinu to Isah Akor to partner Gwar.

Akinbinu was an impact substitute for City when he replaced Zuzu Benjamin in his team's 1-0 win against Lobi Stars. He got the goal and troubled Lobi with his physique and mazy runs.

He should have produced two assists in the game if only Okiki Mosampa had converted them.

For the coaching role, 3SC interim head coaches, Hakeem Busari and Babatunde Odubola get the nod.

Both men hold the portfolio of assistant coaches at 3SC but act as head coaches at the moment. They made sure they put out the proper playing personnel to get their team a first point on the road this season.
