Lobi Stars hire Ogenyi as coach

Glo Premier League club, Lobi Stars, have appointed Evans Ogenyi as their head coach, Naijaligue.blogspot.com can report.

Ogenyi takes charge of the Makurdi club with immediate effect and his tenure will run till the end of the season with an option of renewal.

An official of Lobi Stars confirmed that Ogenyi was revealed as head coach of the club and introduced to his backroom staff.

The former Jigawa Golden Stars trainer is expected to resume on Wednesday.

He replaces the club's vice chairman and technical director, Dominic Iorfa, who has been in charge of the first-team.

"Dominic Iorfa will now concentrate on administrative duties after Evans Ogenyi was named coach of the club today (Tuesday). Dominic did a good job while in charge but now there is a growing need to position Lobi Stars as a brand and also key into some partnership opportunities and build on them, so he is the man for those duties," said a club official to Naijaligue.blogspot.com.

Lobi Stars are currently in the 17th position of the Glo Premier League on 26 points.
