Olowo
will spend the rest of the season at the Akure club after a mid-season move.
The
switch was completed last week and Olowo has been cleared to feature for the
Akure Gunners this term.
But
the defender nicknamed 'Iron-no-dey-bend' is Cup-tied and will not play in the
Federation Cup for Sunshine Stars this season having featured for holders Heartland
at the state level.
"I
left Heartland for a new challenge as you cannot stay at a place forever. I
know this will come as a shock to many people but in life change is something
that happens. I know Heartland will still do well without me but I'm now
focused on playing for my new club," said Olowo to Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
The
defender is now waiting to be handed his squad number and could be in line for
his debut in the Premier League against Kwara United in Akure this Sunday.
Olowo
leaves the Cup holders after spending six years with the Naze Millionaires.
The
defender joined the Owerri club from Kwara United in the 2007/08 season.
