Boumsong, Pyagbara in The Predictor's XI

The duo of Junior Rafael Boumsong (pictured) and Christian Pyagbara have made my team of the week following their fine performances on Matchday 26 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

It is the first time that Cameroonian forward, Boumsong, on the payroll of El-Kanemi Warriors, will make my team after an impressive outing at Akwa United which he capped with a predatory finish.

Ex-Nigeria under-20 midfielder, Pyagbara has been the spine of Sharks' recent resurgent and he picked up from where he stopped in their 2-1 win over Dolphins to put up another eye-catching display against Lobi Stars on Sunday.

Pyagbara's under-20 teammate, Moses Orkuma, who captained Lobi on the day also played himself into my matchday team.

Popular sports presenter and analyst with Channels TV, Toyin Ibitoye, who watched the Sharks versus Lobi Stars tie, singled out Pyagbara and Orkuma for top marks.

"Watched a great game in Port Harcourt today (on Sunday)...so impressed with Lobi captain Moses Orkuma and Sharks' wonder boy Christian Pyagbara," stated Ibitoye via his Twitter account.

I have also named Lobi's goalkeeper, Terkaa Melai, in my team for his heroic saves though he ended up on the losing team. It could have easily been two, three or even four goals to Sharks but for his reflexes and timely save before Odinga Odinga broke their hearts of the Lobi contingent late in the game.

Bright Esieme, Chinedu Udoji, Stanley Onuegbu and Mutiu Adegoke make up my back four.

Pyagbara and Orkuma are joined in midfield by Olabiyi Rasheed and Nembe City's West Sobomabo, who impressed by creating problems for the back line of Warri Wolves.

Christian Josiah completes my team by slotting into a two-man attack alongside Boumsong.

Josiah, elder brother to Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo, scored for Sunshine Stars twice in similar fashion. He is in my team for the second time.

El-Kanemi Warriors manager, Zachary Baraje is my coach of the week for guiding his men to a vital point at Akwa United to ensure they remain within touching distance of the top teams on the NPFL log.
