Enyimba
captain, Chinedu Udoji (pictured), has played down talks of the Aba club winning the
Nigeria Professional Football League and the Federation Cup this season.
Udoji
is however not ruling out the two-time African champions from winning the
league and Cup double this term but believes caution is key.
But
the centre-back has promised the club faithful that they (the players) will
take the rest of the season a game at a time.
"I
can't say anything (about winning the double). We are going to take it match by
match, and with God anything can happen," said Udoji.
Enyimba
will face Lobi Stars in the Federation Cup semifinals at the Samuel Ogbemudia
Stadium this Wednesday and Udoji knows it will be dangerous to look beyond their
opponents with disrespect.
"FA
Cup games are very different from league games. So we won't make mistakes and
we won't underrate our opponents. I know it will be a tough game (against Lobi
Stars) as they will want to play in the final just as we want the same,"
said the Enyimba captain to supersport.com.
