Zikiye agrees terms with Dolphins

Nembe City defender, Jonathan Zikiye (pictured), has reached an agreement in principle to join former Nigerian champions.

Dolphins and Nembe City, who own the player are still in negotiation over transfer fee at the moment.
However, Zikiye has been training with Dolphins since the last week in November and even featured for the Port Harcourt side in a pre-season tournament in Sapele.
Naijaligue.blogspot.com has been informed that Dolphins manager, Stanley Eguma, is impressed with Zikiye and sees the youngster as a perfect addition to his team's left-back position where they have just Chidiebere Okolie available after Victor Babayaro was released.
"Jonathan Zikiye has been training with us for a little over two weeks now. He was in our camp in Oghara and played in the Unity Cup in Sapele for us and the coach (Eguma) is really impressed with him.
"The player is ready to join us and has agreed with negotiation but nothing has been concluded for now. We are also talking to Nembe City and we hope a deal will be agreed upon for him to join us," said a Dolphins official to Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
Zikiye made 32 appearances for Nembe City in league and Cup competitions and scored a total of five goals.
The left-back was named in The Predictor's XI four times in the 2012/13 Glo Premier League season and also made his team of the season.
