Kano Pillars without Gambo, Ubale

Nigerian champions, Kano Pillars, will feature in the Glo Premier League pre-season tournament without two of their strikers, Mannir Ubale and Gambo Muhammad (pictured), Naijaligue.blogspot.com can report.

Ubale has been excused from taking part in the pre-season tournament after he got married recently.

The former Bayelsa United man is currently on honeymoon, according to Kano Pillars official, Idris Malikawa.

However, Gambo has been left out of the Kano Pillars contingent for the tournament to recuperate fully from the torn hamstring that ruled him out of the ongoing African Nations Championship (Chan) in South Africa.

"Gambo is still out with injury and he is recovering and getting back into shape for the coming season. Also, Mannir Ubale was left out because he just got married. So he needs time with his wife which is normal," said Malikawa.

Kano Pillars will begin their campaign in the pre-season tournament against Warri Wolves this Friday.
