Sunshine Stars trio of Solomon Kwambe, Kunle Odunlami and Ikenna Hillary Paul as well as Warri Wolves striker, Gbolahan Salami are the Chan stars in my Match Day 5 team in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Kwambe put an exceptional performance at Enugu Rangers and kept Chan MVP, Ejike Uzoenyi, at bay for longer spells of their clash and even forced him to switch wings. Odunlami also put in a massive shift in the heart of the Akure Gunners' defence.
Paul, making his first league appearance of the season, made his experience with the Super Eagles count in the middle of the park and used his big frame well to checkmate most of Rangers' move through the middle
Sunshine Stars new boy, Kingsley Eduwo, has been knocking on the door of my team in the past match days and deservedly got his spot this time following his fine outing at Rangers over the weekend.
It was, however, a straight fight for my number one spot between Theophilus Afelokhai and Ikechukwu Ezenwa but the former got the nod for pulling off eye-catching saves at Abia Warriors to help Kano Pillars leave Umuahia with a point.
Pierre Coly, Odinga Odinga, Kelly Kester, Emem Eduok and FC Taraba striker, Bobby Abel, who tormented Enyimba's backline, compete my squad for the week.
I've decided to pick Henry Abiodun of Sunshine Stars as my coach of the week for his consistency in setting up his men in away games.
He proved that his men's performance at Kano Pillars and Dolphins were no fluke with another superb outing at Rangers. And they're looking like a team that could win games on the road this term.
