Iyorhe to miss Enyimba clash

FC Taraba striker, Luter Iyorhe [pictured], has been ruled out of Sunday's Glo Premier League clash with six-time champions, Enyimba.

Iyorhe copped a thigh injury during Friday's training and has failed to recover in time for the match at the Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo and FC Taraba head coach, Ndubuisi Nduka, now believes the player's chances of making his team for the match day 5 game looks in doubt.

"Luter is injured and he does not look good to play for the match on Sunday (against FC Taraba). He suffered an injury in his thigh and we are keeping watch on him. But right now we are planning for our match on Sunday without him," said Nduka.

Nduka, however, specified that Iyorhe would be out for a week following the thigh injury he sustained on Friday.

"He should be out for a week but he will join us in time for the next match (against Kano Pillars)," disclosed Nduka.

Iyorhe has expressed unhappiness over his injury but believes his teammates will do the job against the People's Elephant.

"I was really looking forward to playing this game. Unfortunately, I am now injured which happened during training on Friday. It is a thigh injury. But I believe we have a squad good enough to win against Enyimba," the former Lobi Stars man said.

Iyorhe has scored twice in four league appearances for FC Taraba this season.
