The duo of Emem Eduok and Ejike Uzoenyi (pictured) put up impressive performances for their clubs on Wednesday in the Glo Premier League to earn places in my team of the week.
Former Nigerian under-20 winger, Eduok, made himself a nuisance to the backline of Abia Warriors with his dribble runs and capped up a fine performance on Match Day 10 of the Nigerian top flight with one goal and an assist.
The attacking winger also saw one of his goal-bound efforts clip the woodwork and bounce back into play. Such was the nuisance level of Eduok on the hapless Warriors.
MVP at the 2014 Chan, Uzoenyi, produced a second half display that put Akwa United to the sword.
The petite winger was involved in the run-up to Rangers' two other goals and also scored a beauty of a goal to help Enugu Rangers defeat Akwa United three-nil.
Another member of the Nigerian team to the 2014 Chan, Chigozie Agbim, got a spot in my team.
In spite of conceding three goals at El-Kanemi while in goal for Gombe United, Agbim made eight big saves including four one-on-ones in the opening half hour of the match.
Gombe United would have been blown apart but for Agbim's sharpness in goal.
Alhassan Yusuf, Nojeem Raji, Orji Kalu Okagbue, Jonathan Zikiye, Ugonna Uzochukwu, Bright Ejike, Oghogho Oduokpe and Osaguona Ighodaro complete my team of the week from games played in the Nigerian premier division on Wednesday.
Heartland's Kelechi Emeteole is my coach of the week for pulling off one of the best results on match day. He led his team to a 1-1 draw at Kano Pillars despite having to play the whole of the second half with a man down.
The Predictor's XI - Match Day 10
Chigozie Agbim (Gombe United) - Alhassan Yusuf (Gombe United), Nojeem Raji (Giwa FC), Orji Kalu Okagbue (Heartland), Jonathan Zikiye (Dolphins) - Ugonna Uzochukwu (Enugu Rangers) - Ejike Uzoenyi (Enugu Rangers), Emem Eduok (Dolphins), Bright Ejike (Heartland) - Oghogho Oduokpe (Sunshine Stars), Osaguona Ighodaro (Enugu Rangers)
