Giwa FC to unveil Ikhana this week

Glo Premier League club, Giwa FC, are expected to announce Kadiri Ikhana (pictured) as their head coach/technical consultant this week, Naijaligue.blogspot.com has been informed.
Ikhana, who has managed Enyimba, Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United in recent years, will take charge of Giwa FC's coaching bench immediately after their league match against Nasarawa United on Wednesday.

The former Nigerian international is expected to take full charge of first-team activities at Giwa FC for this weekend's league match against Kaduna United.

"I can confirm to you that Mr Kadiri Ikhana is expected to become the next coach of the club and will start work this week. The owner of Giwa FC (Ambassador Chris Giwa) told us this before we left for the match against Nasarawa United. So he will be in charge of our next match which is at home against Kaduna United.

"I don't have any idea of the financial terms or terms of engagement of the deal but I believe there has been an agreement since our chairman and club owner announced it to us," an official of Giwa FC informed Naijaligue.blogspot.com late on Tuesday.

Ikhana has been in Jos on a few occasions to watch the team's league matches and training sessions and travelled with the match day squad to Port Harcourt, where they secured a scoreless draw with three-time league champions, Dolphins.

The former Kwara United coach will fill the vacant role left by Abdullahi Biffo in April.
