Enyimba midfielder, Sani Kaita (pictured left), produced a classy performance on Wednesday against Kaduna United in the Glo Premier League to clinch a place in my team of the week.
Kaita showed against Kaduna United that he had not totally lost that combative style of his in midfield as he harried and hassled for every contest in the middle of the pack.
The former Kano Pillars man, who is on a short loan spell with the People's Elephant, was one of the standout players during the match in Aba.
The ex-Nigerian international capped his day in the colours of Enyimba with a smashing goal from the edge of the box that sealed all points for the two-time African champions.
Two of Kaita's teammates, Uche John and Ugwu Uwadiegwu, also made my team for the match day under review for their art of defending.
Kaduna United shot-stopper, John Shuaibu is my team of the week goalkeeper. He edged the duo of Olufemi Kayode of Akwa United and Chigozie Agbim of Gombe United, who both had decent outings at the weekend for their clubs.
Alex Akinyemi, Pierre Coly, Orji Kalu Okagbue, Dafe Omonigho, Christian Pyagbara, Ajani Ibrahim and Gbolahan Salami also made it into my team following their contribution for their clubs.
Sharks gaffer, Gbenga Ogunbote, is my coach of the week for making sure his team got a point off his former club, Sunshine Stars, from a losing position in which they were two goals down.
Interestingly, Sharks were the only club that secured a point on the road in the match day under review.
The Predictor's XI - Match Day 14
John Shuaibu (Kaduna United) - Alex Akinyemi (Giwa FC), Pierre Coly (Enugu Rangers), Uche John (Enyimba), Orji Kalu Okagbue (Heartland), Ugwu Uwadiegwu (Enyimba) - Sani Kaita (Enyimba), Dafe Omonigho (Abia Warriors) - Christian Pyagbara (Sharks), Ajani Ibrahim (Sunshine Stars) - Gbolahan Salami (Warri Wolves)
Coach: Gbenga Ogunbote (Sharks)
