Bosso In Line For Reprieve

Troubled Wikki Tourist head coach, Ladan Bosso, could heave a sigh of relief by next week, depending on the outcome of the result between his side and Gombe United at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi on December 5.
On Sunday, Bosso led his men out to pick a vital point against title contender, Heartland Football Club, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
Bosso’s men at the weekend pulled the chestnut out of the fire by tearing the bookmakers’ prediction to shreds by securing a point at Owerri after a goalless draw in a game in which Wikki Tourist played with nine men.
Wikki Tourist’s chairman, Patrick Pascal, was excited by the result in Owerri last Sunday.
According to Pascal, it was a good outing for the club.
“It was a good game for us because we picked a point in a venue that is very difficult. And when you consider the fact that we played nine against 11, it makes the point look like a victory,” Pascal told our Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
The game at Heartland FC was Bosso’s third in the four-game ultimatum handed to Bosso this month following Wikki Tourist’s poor run in the Premier League campaign.
However, Bosso’s fate still hinges on the outcome of the game on December 5 against Gombe United.
In spite of the goalless draw at Owerri, Wikki Tourist is still way off the mark in its target for this season as it currently occupies the 13th position on the 20-team log.
But Bosso is confident that a win in its next game on Saturday could lift his side into the top-half of the table.
“Just one win can change things. A win will see us move into the top 10, and that is what we are targeting in our next game,” he said to Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
