Premier League To Go On Two-week Break

The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) has decided to send the top-flight division of the country’s league into a two-week, Naijaligue.blogspot.com understands.
Rising from its extra ordinary congress on Friday in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, the Premier League board decided to use the two-week break to clear all outstanding fixtures and wrap up the first transfer window.
“The league shall take a break from December 26, 2009 to January 8, 2010 to offset outstanding matches and to rap-up the 1st transfer window,” a communiqué from the NPL read.
