Sudanese Club Beams Searchlight On Idehen

One of Sudan’s big clubs, El Merreikh, has made enquiries on the current top scorer of the Globacom Premier League, Osas Idehen of Enyimba.
Idehen has scored six goals in nine appearances for the Peoples Elephant in this season’s campaign and has already caught the eyes of the Sudanese club.
Naijaligue.blogspot.com understands that the agent, who brokered Stephen Worgu’s move to El Merreikh, is behind the latest development.
An official of Enyimba told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that though the agent is yet to speak to the Nigerian club on the player, he has already said he would inform the club in Khartoum about
Idehen’s exploits so far in this season’s campaign of the Premier League.
“The agent that did the deal for Stephen Worgu has been watching Enyimba’s games this season and has been impressed with Osas Idehen. He (the agent) said he would speak to El Merreikh about Osas when he meets with the officials of the Sudanese club soon,” the official of the Peoples Elephant, who did not want his name mentioned revealed.
It was also learnt that the middleman made it clear that the Sudanese club could send its scout to watch the Enyimba striker by the time he informs it.
However, the Peoples Elephant, Naijaligue.blogspot.com also understands, would not be willing to open talks with any club on the prolific attacker since he has been pencilled down as one of those to be registered for next year’s edition of the CAF Cup.
At the same time, the Aba millionaires would be keen on making sure that Idehen finishes the ongoing season at the club.
But the agent believes that El Merreikh would be open to watching Idehen in the CAF Cup next year before it makes its assessment on the player, who has average 0.6 goal(s) per match in the Premier League.
Chairman of Enyimba, Felix Anyansi Agwu, reacted to the news of interest from Sudan on one of his players saying he has a contract with Enyimba.
“There’s always speculation about players. But he (Idehen) is our player and will be our player because he has a contract with us and nobody has asked about him yet,” Anyansi Agwu told Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
