Wolves Will Be Big Test – Ogaga

Kano Pillars’ striker, Moses Ogaga, is looking forward to Sunday’s Week 10 Premier League clash against in-form Warri Wolves with so much caution.
Ogaga, who was instrumental to the Kano club’s run to the semi-final of the 2009 CAF Champions League, told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that Warri Wolves is one of the title contenders this season considering its performance in the Premier League this season.
The Kano Pillars’ attacker also knows that he and his team-mates would find it difficult in picking points off Warri Wolves, which recently named a 25-man team ahead of next year’s campaign in the CAF Cup.
“It is going to be a very, very big game for us against Kano Pillars. They will test us. They are one of the contenders for the league this season and we cannot afford to overlook them and think we will go there and just win,” he said.
Ogaga also recalled how the Warri club took Kano Pillars to the cleaners in last season’s corresponding fixture at the Oleh Township Stadium in Delta State when the former champion lost by 1 – 3.
But Ogaga is confident that Kano Pillars can earn itself a result at Warri Wolves in spite of the home side’s 100 per cent record in front of its fans.
However, Wolves’ captain, Goodluck Onamado, who scored in last week’s 2-2 draw at Gateway Football Club, boasted that he and his team-mates are ready to pick the maximum points when Kano Pillars visits this weekend.
Onamado is convinced that based on his side’s current form in this season’s campaign, it (Warri Wolves) is capable of re-enacting last season’s result at the Oleh Township Stadium against the 2007/2008 champion.
“We are ready for this game (against Kano Pillars),” Onamado told Naijaligue.blogspot.com. “This season we have enough players that can compete and against Kano Pillars we can beat them because we have done it before and we will repeat it again.”
