I Hope To Return To Lobi Soon – Lawal

Former Super Eagles’ midfielder, Garba Lawal, declared that he would be making a return to his Premier League side, Lobi Stars, in a few days.
The 35-year-old, who joined troubled Lobi Stars on a year’s deal as player-coach, told Naijaligue.blogspot.com from Kaduna on telephone that he has remained in touch with the club’s executive officer, Dominic Iorfa.
Lawal has been away from the side since he took up the job of coordinator to the Golden Eaglets at the last edition of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Nigeria last year.
But the former Julius Berger man did not give reasons behind his absence from the troubled Makurdi-based club but assured that he would be making a return to the side in subsequent matches.
“For now I’ve been in Kaduna,” confessed Lawal about his whereabouts. “But the club know my current location and I have constantly been in touch with the team through Iorfa. But hopefully I will return to play for the side again in its remaining matches.”
Lawal, who has played in three games for Lobi Stars this season, also expressed concern about the club’s form and hopes that it would improve and do well in the Premier League this season.
The former Esperance player last featured for Lobi Stars against Wikki Tourist at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi on September 27, 2009 before taking up the job of coordinating the Golden Eaglets at the cadet World Cup last year.
