‘Owumi Can Bring Betterment To Premier League’

Chairman of Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, Patrick Pascal and Proprietor of FC Inter of Enugu, Francis Yawe, are confident that the new Chairman of Nigeria Premier League (NPL), Davidson Owumi, will turn the face of Nigerian League around.
Speaking in separate interviews, they contended that Owumi has all the qualities to further improve the game in the country.
Pascal noted that he is just the right man for the job.
"He played the game, He is educated. He is experienced in the game having worked closely with the last board. So tell me which other criteria you need to judge the man.
“I have always believed that he is the man that will continue from where Chief Oyuki Obaseki stopped. And I am happy that he won a landslide victory in the elections.
“All we can do is to give him the necessary support and that I am sure all the clubs will give him and the new board”.
Proprietor of FC Inter, an amateur side in Enugu, Francis Yawe noted that the clubs that voted for Owumi in the elections should be praised because they know what is good for them.
“I know that he will do well and the Premier League will not be the same again. We need to support him and his men on the board because I know that the achievements will trickle down to us in the amateur level,” Yawe said.
