Cable TV station, Supersport, has reaffirmed its commitment to the development of Nigeria Premier League (NPL).
Despite the setbacks faced by the sports channel in its coverage of the league, the firm said it would not be cowed by the kidnapping problem it suffered last season.
General Manager of SuperSport, Felix Awogu, said that the firm will continue to work hard to ensure that the league is projected to the outside world.
“We will continue to perform our duties despite the challenges we are faced with. There is no job without any hazards and we will not relent in giving our viewers the best of Nigerian football,” Awogu said.
The Premier League in Nigeria also said it is working hard to make sure that Nigerians through Supersport get the best of the television package for the country’s top-flight division.
“We are doing our best by getting ready for the new season, and Nigerians will surely see a turn around in our domestic league,” promised NPL chairman, Davidson Owumi.
