Heartland will be without star midfielder, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu, for Sunday’s CAF Champions League Group B match as a result of a knee injury.
Top team official, Promise Nwachukwu, informed MTNFootball.com that 'Mosquito' Ibenegbu suffered an injury to his right knee in last week’s 2-1 loss to Al Ahly in Egypt and has been ruled out of the match against JS Kabylie of Algeria.
“Ibenegbu has a knee injury from the match against Ahly. It’s not very serious but we do not wish to force him to play with that injury and so he will not play on Sunday,” said Nwachukwu.
