Maccabi Haifa eyes Tornadoes' Salami

Top Israeli club, Maccabi Haifa, has joined the hunt for Niger Tornadoes’ striker, Eugene Salami, club officials have informed MTNFootball.com.
Haifa gave Everton striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, his breakthrough in Europe.
Salami netted 17 goals in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) last season and has been sought after by several European clubs.
He only recently tried out at Belgian club, Westerlo before returning to Niger Tornadoes last month.
The striker underlined his form in front of goal at the weekend when he notched the match winner for Tornadoes in a sub-regional WAFU match against Stella of the Ivory Coast in Minna.
Salami hit target after he was set up by Abdulwahid Afolabi to give Tornadoes a crucial home win.
