Plateau United striker, George Akpabio (pictured) appears to be close to joining Turkey side, Antalyaspor.
Akpabio is scheduled to undergo a three-day trial this week at the club before signing a deal.
A source close to the club revealed that the three-day trial is just a formality, as Antalyaspor are keen to have him on their book barring any financial hitch.
SuperSport.com understands that Akpabio could pen a three-year deal with the fee kept undisclosed.
But as at Monday Akpabio was still in Norway after an attempt to join Lillestrom fell through due to disagreement over terms.
The Plateau United man is now seeking to get a visa to Turkey to join up with Antalyaspor before the European transfer window closes.
It has also been learned that prior to Akpabio's trip to Norway, a top Turkish club were ready to hand him a direct offer without putting him through any test.
Akpabio scored 14 goals for Plateau United in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) before he left to try out at Norway's Lillestrom.
