After agreeing in
principle with Enugu Rangers, Super Eagles' goalkeeper, Chigozie Agbim, looks
set to complete an N8 million move to the Coal City.
Agbim, who is expected to
join the camp of the Nigerian squad this weekend for the November 14 friendly
against Venezuela, is expected to sign for the Flying Antelopes this month
barring any hitch.
The player will seal a
one-year deal when the Enugu Rangers' CEO, Paul Chibuzor Ozor, returns from his
trip overseas for medical check-up.
A club official told
supersport.com: "He is close to signing for us. The (transfer) fee
involved is around N8 million but that isn't concluded or certain yet as talks
will be finalised and then a contract signed. He will sign this month hopefully
when the CEO of the club returns to the country, Chigozie's contract will
finally be sorted out."
Agbim has been training
with Rangers, as they prepare for the 2012/2013 Nigeria Premier League (NPL)
and the 2013 Caf Champions League.
He was the first-choice
goalkeeper of Warri Wolves last term before his contract ran out.
