Seven NPL clubs want Onduku

Sharks' attacking winger, Gomo Onduku (pictured) is currently being courted by seven Nigeria Premier League (NPL) teams ahead of next season, supersport.com can report.

The teams in discussion with Onduku are Premier League champions, Kano Pillars, Enyimba, Enugu Rangers, 3SC, Dolphins, Warri Wolves and Bayelsa United.

Bayelsa United have been the fastest among the Premier League clubs as their chairman have made direct contact with Onduku on joining his side after they won promotion to the top flight from the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The six other clubs have held talks with Onduku but through third parties, supersport.com has been made to understand.

But the former Nigerian Under20 player is said to be only keen on signing a short-term deal preferably a three-month loan.

Onduku has attracted interest from foreign clubs including PSL side, SuperSport United and looks set to leave Nigeria in the January transfer window.

Last season, Onduku scored nine league goals for the Blue Angels, as they could only muster a seventh place finish in the final standings of the NPL.
