Etebo scores 10th league goal

Warri Wolves striker, Oghenekaro Etebo (pictured), has hit double figure of goals in the Glo Premier League after helping his team to a 1-0 win over Enugu Rangers on Sunday.

Etebo is now on 10 goals and just one short of leading scorer, Dele Olorundare who missed Sunshine Stars' trip to Gombe United.

The former Lord Honour FC attacking midfielder scored from the spot on 25 minutes as his club eased to a win and amassed the full points.

Wolves are in second place on the log and two points behind table-topping Kano Pillars, who are on 39 points.

Match-winner, Etebo, said afterwards to Naijaligue.blogspot.supersport.com: "It was a difficult game for us but I am happy we got the win and more importantly the points."

In Bauchi, Bayelsa United thought they had held on enough to take points off Wikki Tourists.

But Ahmed Usman popped up with four minutes to time to smash the hopes of ex-Wikki manager, Ladan Bosso and his men leaving Bauchi with a point.

In spite of the win, the Tourists still remain at the base of the Premier League table.
