Otegbeye salutes ABS’ courage

By Ojeikere Aikhoje

Otegbeye Ajibola (pictured) has praised his teammates at ABS for showing great commitment during their road trip at 3SC on matchday 29.

It was a day the Ibadan side failed to collect maximum points for the first time since ABS gained promotion to the elite class.

Interestingly, Ajibola was captain when the club achieved the historic feat.

“We played well and deserved to get a point. I had a nice experience as captain on match day having spent most of my time in Ibadan.

“It was the first time ABS will get a point in Ibadan. The feat will prepare us for the El-Kanemi match on Sunday,” Ajibola said to SuperSport.com.

The experienced Mutiu Adegoke gave 3SC a first half lead, while Muktar Saliu, who was acquired from Wikki Tourists during the mid-season break ensured ABS got a point in Ibadan.

Ajibola, who is in his first season in the top flight has turned out to be one of the outstanding new players.
