Akwa
United head coach, Justin Tenger, has dropped veteran goalkeeper John Gaadi for
this Wednesday's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game at Enyimba.
Gaadi
was not named in Akwa United's travelling contingent for the game at the
Enyimba Sports Stadium in Aba, Naijaligue.blogspot.com has been informed.
Tenger,
it was learned, excluded the former Lobi Stars' custodian after his poor outing
against Nasarawa United which cost the Uyo side two points at home on Sunday.
Gaadi
was also in goal when Akwa United lost 1-3 at Enugu Rangers last Wednesday.
"John
(Gaadi) is not among the team to face Enyimba on Wednesday. He has been left
out due to poor performances especially against Nasarawa United on Sunday that
led to the goal against us," said an Akwa United official to supersport.com.
Tenger
has opted to travel with two former Akwa Starlets goalkeepers, Olufemi Kayode
and Victor Obiowo.
Kayode,
who was not named in Sunday's 1-1 against visiting Nasarawa United, will likely
start in goal against Enyimba.
Obiowo was the reserve goalkeeper in last
Sunday's clash with Nasarawa United.
