Wolves seal new shirt deal

Glo Premier League side, Warri Wolves, have tied a lucrative shirt sponsorship deal with Zenith Bank Plc, FCNaija has been told.

The shirt deal according to officials of the club is worth over N50 million and its part of the re-branding exercise being championed by the new management led by former Premier League boss Davidson Owumi.

Already FCNaija has been told that the contract formalities for the shirt deal will be sealed on Wednesday at a ceremony in Delta State capital, Asaba.

“We are happy for an innovation like this coming to Warri Wolves and we are equally grateful to Zenith Bank for picking our club, we hope the partnership will bring better things to the club” a top official of Warri Wolves remarked on the new deal.

It is expected that Warri Wolves will be wearing their newly branded Zenith Bank jerseys in their season-opener against El-Kanemi Warriors from Maiduguri.

The team will also be giving their sponsors wider mileage as they are very much in contention in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Only recently, reigning Nigeria League champions, Kano Pillars also tied a shirt deal with Italian kit makers Kappa.

The League Management Company organisers of the Glo Premier League have already enjoined clubs to seek funds away from government allocations.
