How Fans Invaded Closed-door Game In Makurdi

It has been revealed that hundreds of Lobi Stars’ supporters allegedly forced their way into the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi for the closed-door Premier League game against Kwara United last Sunday.
The match, which had been pegged as one of the matches to be played behind closed-door by the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) following crowd violence at the Aper Aku Stadium, suddenly became a fans’ delight.
Naijaligue.blogspot.com was informed that about 300 supporters were allowed into the stadium when the match was ongoing last Sunday.
It was alleged that one of the security personnel manning one of the entrances to the arena allowed the fans gain entry, as they parted with various amounts.
But journalists, who were on ground to cover the match, were barred from entering the mainbowl of the stadium by security operatives.
However, spokesman of the Lobi Stars, Bestman Joji, when contacted on the development denied that such happened.
“Nothing like that happened. We played according to the rules and regulations of the league, and we played that game without fans in the stadium,” he told Naijaligue.blogspot.com during the week.
