Following the ongoing West African Football Union (WAFU) Nations Cup holding in Ogun State , two Premier League games earlier scheduled to hold today have been moved forward to Monday.
Head of Competition, Nigeria Premier League (NPL), Tunji Babalola, told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that the match between Gateway Football Club and Bayelsa United billed to hold at the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta had to be shifted to accommodate matches at the ongoing WAFU Nations Cup.
Babalola also revealed that the other game also scheduled to hold on Saturday between Wikki Tourist and Heartland Football Club at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi would now be played on Monday.
“The two games have been shifted to Monday. The game between Gateway and Bayelsa United was moved because of the WAFU Cup,” he said.
No reason was given for the shift in the game involving Wikki and Heartland.
