Niger Tornadoes’ hitman, Eugene Salami, is gradually closing the gap between himself and Premier League top scorer, Ahmed Musa of Kano Pillars after he scored his 12th goal of the season on Wednesday.
Salami scored in Niger Tornadoes’ 3 – 1 home win over Wikki Tourist. The Super Eagles Team B striker scored his club’s third goal on 70 minutes after Chinedu Justice and Austin Ekpoma had put the Minna side two up inside the half-hour mark.
Wikki’s pointman, Rabiu Baita, netted the visiting side’s only goal on 50 minutes, which turned out to be his fourth goal in two games since the start of this month.
