NPL to pay Sharks players debt

The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) has finalised arrangements to pay outstanding debt to Sharks players.

After the board meeting in Abuja, NPL noted that the players can come to the office of the league body to collect their money.

Acting Executive Secretary of the Premier League, Tunji Babalola, said the players will get their money from September 3, 2010.

“They will have to come to the office with identifications. The Board has directed the secretariat to effect immediate disbursement of outstanding entitlements of the players.

“This shows the new board is committed to the welfare of the Nigerian players and this will continue as the new season approaches,” Babalola said.
