I’m under no pressure at Plateau – Nduka

Head coach of Plateau United, Ndubuisi Nduka, has played down pressure coming his way after his side’s poor start to the 2010/2011 season of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).
Plateau United are rooted bottom of the Premier League with one point but Nduka believes that his side can begin the climb out of the drop zone starting with the game against fellow new boys, Bukola Babes, on Saturday.
In spite acknowledging that it is not the kind of start he had hoped for Plateau United Nduka made it clear that he has the backing of the club’s management, players and coaching staff.
“I am not under pressure. It is wrong for anyone to say that I am under pressure. Yes, we have not won any game yet but that does not mean that we will not start winning games. I believe that we will start winning from this weekend (against Bukola Babes). The players know this and are ready to start winning,” he said.
The former Dolphins Football Club man assured that Plateau United will not suffer the fate of returning to the lower league at the end of the season.
“We still have more than 30 games to play this season. I am confident that we will remain in the Premier League at the end of the season,” said the coach.
