Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, Bukola Babes will in a matter of days become the property of Dr Bukola Saraki, SuperSport.com can report.
Team manager of the club, Alloy Chukwuemeka revealed on Wednesday that the former governor of Kwara State and patron of Bukola Babes is a front-runner in becoming the owner of the Premier League side.
The Bukola Babes’ manager also disclosed that the official announcement of the new owner will be made after the club’s match day 35 game against Juth.
“The new owners (of Bukola Babes) will be announced after Week 35 matches in Abuja. Saraki is favoured,” said Chukwuemeka.
But Chukwuemeka did not reveal the names of the other bidders for Bukola Babes saying “their names and identities will be made known on same day as the new owners.”
The management of Bukola Babes had put up the club for sale several weeks ago to the tune of N250 million.
The new owners will take full ownership of the club after the announcement is made in Abuja.
